Ways to participate/donate
Do you love animals and want to make a difference, but lack the time or space to rescue them yourself? Please consider furthering our mission as a supporter or volunteer. Every contribution truly makes a difference.
Compassion without action is just observation. But your compassionate donation, financial or otherwise, will quite literally help us save more lives.
Volunteer
Local to Southern California or planning a trip? Please fill out a volunteer application form if you'd enjoy an afternoon of helping out with tasks like brushing out our livestock guard dog, cuddling cats, weeding, scrubbing buckets, etc.!
Item donation
Do you have old fleece blankets lying around? Extra baby wipes? Produce from an overgrown garden? There are numerous household items that you may not realize we can use, including:
-baby blankets
-general blankets/sheets/towels
-old kennels/pet carriers
-pet food bowls, large tupperware
-puppy pads
-wood pellets or shavings
-sand bags (erosion control is fine)
-leftover potting soil, gravel, etc.
-fruits and veggies (including garden scraps!)
-baby shampoo
-basic first aid items (cortisone cream, triple antibac, iodine scrub, etc.)
-cat/dog food and kitty litter
-guinea pig pellets
-livestock hay pellets (alfalfa, bermuda, and/or timothy)
-poultry feed
-flea/worm treatments
-bird seed
-outdoor storage items (rubber bins, storage barrels, storage sheds/cabinets etc)
-mineral oil
-frozen fruits and veggies
-baby food
-garden clippings (nontoxic plants)
-scrap wood, hardware, and building materials
-zip ties and bungee cords, carabiner clips
-dried and powdered (via blender) egg shells
Sponsorship
Are you particularly charmed by one or some of our animals? Looking for a unique, thoughtful gift for a friend? Our animals are available for sponsorship. For $15/month, you (or your gift recipient) may receive a sponsorship certificate upon request as well as pictures, videos, and updates! We also welcome our wonderful sponsors to come meet their long-distance feathered/furry friend any time.

Amazon wish list
We realize that giving cash can feel impersonal. We also maintain a regularly updated Amazon Wish List, where you can see our current/ongoing needs and select specific items to donate. Please include a gift note; otherwise we won't know who sent it! You can expect a thank-you note and perhaps even a little something in return.
Networking or donating your skillset
Are you an amazing photographer? Adept at web design? Have a background in fundraising? Do you know someone local to us who owns a restaurant, and might donate their leftover produce? Or someone who is also passionate about supporting animal rescue? If so, we'd love to connect with you or them. Leveraging resources is a huge part of maintaining a successful nonprofit, and you can help us grow our network and connect the dots.
Financial donations
Ultimately, our ability to sustain all these precious lives (and continue to grow) hinges on money. We are currently hoping to add infrastructure for larger livestock, build a second rooster bachelor pad, and have the assets to confidently take on even the most challenging medical cases. Any amount is truly appreciated.
